Virtual Conference: RegTech In The Finance & Leasing Sector, 23rd March

The FLA will be hosting its first remote conference in 2021 on the important subject of .Regulation Technology (RegTech)

The conference will focus on how technology is influencing change in financial services – both in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and in supporting the economic recovery.  As part of this, we will discuss some of the latest technological advancements to understand how these are impacting business models and the customer journey.

As the UK regulatory agenda continues to evolve, new rules and guidance are likely to be developed with technological advancements in mind.  It is, therefore, essential that firms are prepared to adapt appropriately, particularly as it is clear that the current pace of change will not dissipate.  However, these challenges have also allowed for the financial services industry to explore new and innovative ideas, and it is inevitable that some of these advancements will revolutionise what is known as the ‘ordinary course of business’.

The conference will be led by speakers, including a keynote speaker from the FCA, who will provide a range of insights and opinions on the subject. Worksmart’s Director of Regulation and Market Engagement, Julie Pardy, will be speaking on: “RegTech – A brave new world or a necessary evil?”
